My Creative Cave

Image from Pixaby

My creative cave
Is open from both sides
Starry nights spread their tresses
When sun wanders away.

My heart tingles with delight
When the glow of moon
Creates magic in my cave
My pen drapes around the light.

Emotions echo
To release the words
Oppressed by feral fears
Creativity cedes her hold.

Till dawn breaks
Bringing dewy-damp whispers
And melody of flowers
A new song reverberates.

A song in synch with the surroundings
A song that soothes many hearts.

  1. Another beautifully woven tapestry of images and words, Balroop. Some that really struck a chord with me are:

    Starry nights spread their tresses
My pen drapes around the light.
    Bringing dewy-damp whispers

    Just lovely!

  2. Beautiful, Balroop. From the first stanza you take me into your mystic cave. It doesn’t stop there,
every stanza lifts and dances through us. Wonderful.

  4. This may be my favorite poem of yours yet. But no, it can’t be, because I love so many of your poems. But I have a creative cave also, and you describe it so beautifully poetically right! ❤

  5. Gorgeous, Balroop. I particularly loved this, “When the glow of moon
    Creates magic in my cave
My pen drapes around the light.”

  6. This is beautiful, I am pleasantly surprised by my first visit to your blog. It just seems so lovely, your creative cave with relaxing and fresh images. I have really enjoyed reading this. Thank you
