#Gratitude: Reminders

The tender touch of breeze
The soft sound of brook
Beautiful blossoms smiling
At the light and warmth of sun.

Happiness filtering through the trees
Moonlight streaming through my windows
Hope sprouting around me, every spring
The dusky sky, the merging hues of rainbow,

The warmth of my home
The mirth, the kindness, and
A steady drizzle of love
Seeping slowly into my soul.

The blessings of being alive,
The constant company of friends
Revered reminders of gratitude
Celestial moments of appreciation.

Assimilating the ache of setbacks
Embracing the hurricanes of life
Gratitude grants the serenity
To bounce back, to tap the infinite

To stumble upon and cherish
Those moments of endless joy
Those moments of togetherness
Sparkling on the sand of time.

Dark Clouds

dark-clouds-on-a-sunny-day
Sue Vincent’s #Writephoto

When dark clouds gather around the horizon
When they are summoned by a sunny moor
When sunshine subsides willingly
It is time for nostalgia…

Memories arrive within moments
Paper boats float all around,
Even before the first drop falls
Musical notes glide in the air.

Breeze blows away stressful thoughts,
It softly taps on our hearts
To rejoice in the aura of setting
And soar with the soothing skies.

Oh! The joy of drifting into the arms of breeze
A gentle rustling touch!
It is more like a lullaby
Breathing eternal calm.

A world of warmth and carefree comfort
Unfolds with kind caresses
And steady drizzle of unconditional love,
Like those celestial drops of rain.

Oasis Of Peace

Blooming blossoms, whispering wind
Carried me far into the haven of peaceimages
Solitude softly spoke in serene tone,
We welcome weary travelers alone

Divesting dirty robes of dissent
We revel in the glorious sun
You too can embrace this light
Just follow it with smiling delight

The light that enlightens the mind
The light that permeates all around
Adds new dimension to thoughts
Guides us out of those knobby knots

Illumines those innate virtues
When we try to shake them off
In annoyance, in rage, in resentment
Leisurely hours are wistfully spent

Rejoicing in the new found glee
We sat and shared upon His knee
Palpable peace pervaded all around
Into which all dismay drowned.

The Valley I Love

Valley of Flowers3(1)

Looking for sounds of happiness
I reached the valley of flowers.

Sitting silently in a corner,
I watched…

A butterfly, a bird, a bee
Humming, hovering, soaring…

Dissatisfied, returning to each flower
Hundreds of times,

Perching and flying…
Could you call this love?

I wondered what made the valley
So serene, so scenic!

Loving little flowers…so colorful
So deep, so bright and enchanting,

They mesmerized butterflies and bees
Human eyes too linger on them.

Rapt and awestruck, I watched
The valley of blissful ecstasy!

Happiness, love, serenity
The valley overflowed…

I know happiness lies in our heart
We just have to nurture it.

The blossoms of beauty and faith
A steady stream of goodness…

Brushes aside the thistles
Of everyday strife.
