Abandoned princess
Sits by the dark pond, ordained
To usher in light
Her tresses create that magic
The dilemma of drenching haunts.

Dendrophilous dame
Held captive by clawed tentacles
Enigmatic entity

A statue comes alive
When darkness encompasses her
Spiritual sojourn

Halloween Fun!

Pumpkins carved by my grandchildren

Some smiles bewitch
Only when all lights go out
Halloween magic!

Your eyes enchant
Our love shimmers through them
Feral and fiery!

Haiku inspired from Eugi’s Weekly Prompt ‘Bewitched.‘ Thank you.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Halloween.

Island We loved

Sue Vincent’s #Writephoto

Each morning we would rush out
To swim to the ‘Angel Island’
Inhabited by colorful fairies
We wanted to live that belief.

Ah! The magic of moments…
Enamored by the beauty around us
We made it our second home
Summer brought those blessings.

Showered with rose petals
We sailed into another world
A realm unknown to man
Where melodies of nature charmed.

Immersed in the poetry of water
We walked the magical path
Flowery beds beckoned us
We smiled sinking deep into reveries.

Intoxicated by the arabesque of fairies
We too twirled with joy
Friendship is a celestial gift –
Unequivocal and unparalleled.

The Dance

Sue Vincent’s #Writephoto

Ah! The invitation! The exhilaration!
A dream come true!

She looked forward to the dance party – an annual ritual that she had seen from the seams. Today she would be the center of attraction – the lady with the veil, an enigma for everyone.

Eager to see the lady, we started the long trek to the magical land, hoping to reach before getting dehydrated. A mirage that seemed so near yet kept receding.

A greenway led us to the circular dance stage. Mist melted as we neared the venue.

One beat converted the stones into drums. We watched, mesmerized by the music. The sun suddenly grew dim, as if commanded by some unknown force.

The crescendo could be heard beyond eternity.

And there she was! A perfect figure, as if chiseled by an artist, making her first appearance. Twirling round and round, creating a divine circle around her…no beginning…no ending, just like the circle of life – palpable, perpetual.

Many yearned to touch her but a weird circle of light whirled around her. Slowly she drifted into dusk. Just like life.

Magical Feather

A blue feather
Sue Vincent’s #photoprompt

The feather we found on the ledge
Remains as precious as you
It’s color…just like your blue eyes
Impelling me to plunge
Into their depth

Its delicacy…a familiar touch
Reminiscent of resonance
That drew us to each other
Its magical message…
Love remains recalcitrant

Dissolve the doubts
Follow the magic of love
Its depth may overwhelm
Craters may coerce complacency
Passion portals remain open.
