The Valley Of Happiness

Happiness

They lived in the valley of happiness
Away from the hypocritical world
A valley, surrounded by flowers
Welcoming rain, sunshine, and snow.
They had braved the storms of life,
They believed in themselves!

Broken dreams didn’t bother them
Happiness was not a destination
It was harmony with their thoughts
It was absorbing the radiance of stars
It was merging into the dark clouds
It was reveling in the glory of the rainbow.

The door to happiness was always ajar
The key to that door… in their hearts
Happiness just sneaked in!
Sometimes the door was left unlatched
Serenity and calmness tiptoed
To warm their hearts with inner peace.

Waiting for Peace

waiting for peace
Sue Vincent’s #photo prompt

You could see her
Even on misty mornings
Waiting at the top of the hill
Melancholy figure, standing still

Oblivious of slander or censure
Immersed in her own beliefs
She moved up and down
Never did she come to the town

People shook their heads in distress
Counted her among the dead
How could she fall for the bait?
How long would she wait?

She knew that dawn so well
Coruscating rays welcomed them
Mist was nowhere to be seen
Could she ever forget the scene?

Promises of peace went awry
Misty message stood before her
Yet hope lingered at the corners
Drifting away from the mourners.

Whispering Peace and Tranquility

Light, clouds and snow

Far away in the clouds
That lit up with your memories
A fairy smiles at me
Is that you?

Far away in the sky
A streak of light oscillates,
Each time I think of you
Is that your amorphous abode?

It’s been ages but
Your chilly embrace still warms me
Your gentle kisses reassure
You haven’t changed.

Decked in white robes
Drifting down softly
Shimmering at the thoughts
Of our reclusive rendezvous

While I lie frozen in time
Your footsteps fall on my heart
Ensconced in each other we breathe
Whispering peace and tranquility.

Finding Peace

wisps

Riding on the smoky clouds
We enter the realms of rejuvenating mists
Fluttering around Angelic alacrity
To recreate this amorphous adventure

Who is this between us?
Accentuating the beauty of our venture
Adept at changing shapes
Adorning colors of similar semblance

Disseminating vibes of vibrant lure
Evincing our real rapport
Beams of light kissing our faces
Lending a glow of glorious brilliance

Shining in our own characters
Away from ear-shattering sounds
We soar away from strife and animosity
Earthly identities seem insignificant

Detachment seems so blissful
You may call it escapism
You are free to judge us
We are beyond your chaotic world!
