Respect Our Blue

calm sea –
our blue blanket
waves rise to our magic
we whistle to swim together
in peace.

we ask
just for harmony
we love our brackish blue
keep your missiles in your minds
don’t maul!

Our bond
Is eternal
We have survived for eons
to discover joy despite scorn
love wins.

peep deep
see the shimmer
of blue that doesn’t match yours
but holds unspeakable secrets
stars know.

Rejoice
At our choices
We found felicity
Whilst you dwell in the storms of life
So sad!

Paths of Life

Misty path
Sue Vincent’s #writephoto

Hand in hand we step
Into to the world of our dreams
Ready to traverse streams

What lies beyond the mist
May be cryptic
I love all that is mystic

Hazy skies are transient
Just like paths of life
Let’s travel beyond strife

I can see new avenues
Toward the morning star
But I want to go far

Far from this hypocritical world
That still sows seeds of dissent
Augmenting clouds of discontent.

Hues of Peace

Brook surrounded by green cover
Sue Vincent’s #writephoto

An escape from the outside world, a realm of serenity beckoned him. Each time he visited it to calm his inner storms, the color of nature painted his soul. A cadence of flowing water gave him new hope. He immersed his angst in the water, shared his fears with the branches that tossed them away into the air.

Dora’s face smiled from the water that cascaded downhill. A soft hand touched his shoulders. An angelic voice spoke syllables that he yearned to listen.

“I don’t want to see you here, Ron. Go home.”

“I didn’t come to meet you. This is my haven of peace.”

“But you disturb my peace. Go away. Let me rest,” her smile vanished as Dora spoke with a smoky voice.

Crestfallen, Ron walked home to face his demons alone. Moments of life grew blurry. All love crumbled as he looked at the changing colors of Dora’s picture in his living room.

My first attempt at flash fiction. Thanks to Sue Vincent for an inspiring Thursday #photoprompt Span

#NewYearWishes

Sunrise and Happy 2019

May aspirations glow golden this year
May love and kindness kindle your hearts
May refulgent rays of Sun become blessings.
May the morning gold breathe peace and happiness.

The Valley Of Happiness

Happiness

They lived in the valley of happiness
Away from the hypocritical world
A valley, surrounded by flowers
Welcoming rain, sunshine, and snow.
They had braved the storms of life,
They believed in themselves!

Broken dreams didn’t bother them
Happiness was not a destination
It was harmony with their thoughts
It was absorbing the radiance of stars
It was merging into the dark clouds
It was reveling in the glory of the rainbow.

The door to happiness was always ajar
The key to that door… in their hearts
Happiness just sneaked in!
Sometimes the door was left unlatched
Serenity and calmness tiptoed
To warm their hearts with inner peace.
