A Coveted Beauty #NaPoWriMo

I never sign up for “NaPoWriMo,” (National Poetry Writing Month) but try to write one poem each day. That keeps me stress free.

Here is one of the ten poems I have written this month. I hope to write ten more.

She lives in the shadows
Green dreams lull her to sleep,
Wind whispers soft tunes
Stars share her stories.

Her golden gown lends light
To brighten the dawn,
Lilies embrace her feet
Her fragrance mingles in them.

A coveted beauty of the gardens
Entwined with buds,
With tresses that touch the dew
Her graceful gait delights many.

Welcomed warmly by birds and bees
She swings on trees for a while,
Adds romance to the scene
And moves on, with the blink of an eye!

Tread Softly Here

Tread softly here,
The velvety carpet of Mother Nature
Is waiting to welcome those
Who value her exquisite art.

Wind whispers to leaves:
“Fall gently, don’t ruin the spread
Mingle in its violet hues
To enhance ethereal beauty.”

Squirrels watch spellbound
Slowly they descend from branches
Savoring the magic of serenity
Hearing the song of spring.

What an enchanting feast
For butterflies and bees
Who dance with delight
To get intoxicated in sunlight.

Avenues of Harmony

Once again our green hands
Disseminate sheltered serenity
Once again our life inspires
The love of perpetual giving

Come join the celebrations
Revel in the glory of spring melodies
Soft sounds of new leaves
Merge in the song of bluebirds

Recline in the carousel of lovebirds
Glide with the breezy fragrance
Smile with the colorful sweet peas
Feel the magical breath of spring

This green bower beckons
Accentuating avenues of harmony
Shifting seasons beseech quietly
To keep the rhythm of nature alive.

Spring Of Our Dreams

chga5nrveaazefm-2

When I bowed my head in penitence
You didn’t even look at me
I whispered your favorite trill
You didn’t respond with usual thrill

Fresh leaves sparkle all around us
Blooming blossoms emit fragrance
They are smiling at your conceit
Your high headedness is so concrete!

Are you thinking of a new melody?
To match the surreal spring air
Are you waiting for a new friend?
To flutter with pure pretend

Your songs have lost their passion
The disconnect is dawdling between us
I am trying to understand this attitude
What is your problem dude?

Is it the angst against modern melodies?
Is it the effect of this chaotic cacophony?
Are you sinking into a gloomy gorge?
Or just waiting for a kinder world

The world of our reveries
Where love would be generous
Where equality won’t be a façade
Peace and tolerance – not a mere maud!
